th great sadness that we learned of the death of our club secretary and great friend John Brooks, aka John the Sock.
John had been an active member of the club for a number of years flying a wide variety of planes including his prized possession the Peacemaker, I had the pleasure of taking John for his BMFA A test so that he could enjoy his other activity of waterplane flying at Kitridding. John was always
available to offer advice and to provide help with aeroplane repairs and his speciality of painting pilots. John flew regularly at our indoor flying sessions and had great pride in teaching his grandson Dominic who quickly became proficient at indoor flying.
john is going to be greatly missed by all members of the club and our thoughts are with his family at this time
